RAYS AND ASTROLOGY

The Seven Rays

Every living being from the greatest planet to the tiniest little atom is influenced by the seven rays. These rays are therefore fundamental for all life on Earth. Everything on Earth is colored by the seven rays. All human beings, all species of animals, all plants and all minerals are influenced by one or several of these rays. CARDINAL, FIXED AND MUTABLE: modes of how people react.

Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable are modes.

The word "cardinal" comes from the French "cardo" meaning a hinge, that on which something turns. It is the most important part. The cardinal directions are the north, south, east and west.

They are the times when the seasons change. Aries for Spring; Cancer for Summer; Libra for Autumn; and Capricorn for Winter. They therefore are times for a new beginning.
In Astrology, the cardinal signs are the first, fourth, seventh and tenth (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn). These signs are characterised by enterprise, or starting things.
Sometimes Aries and Libra are called equinox signs, and Cancer and Capricorn are called solstice signs. Equinoxes are times of perfect balance between day and night (day and night are 12 hours long). The solstice times are the times of the longest day (Cancer) and the longest night (Capricorn).
Aries and Libra are times of balance, but also times of abrupt change. Cancer and Capricorn are times of extremes.
The word "fixed" means securely placed and fastened and implies unchanging. In Astrology, the fixed signs are the second, fifth, eighth and eleventh (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius). They are characterised by the keyword "stability" or firm and dependable.
The word "mutable" means "subject to change". The mutable signs are the third, sixth, ninth and twelfth (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces). The keyword for these is "adaptability".

The sequence of cardinal (create, begin, ), fixed (change or maintain) and mutable (change to something else, end, destroy) is part of all the things we experience in the world. This pattern recurs through the horoscope in the quarters of the zodiac. Because these are four groups (or quarters) they are called quadruplicities.

Cardinal Signs
The cardinal signs are associated with starting things, initiating things or being "enterprising". They are forceful and aggressive and have the will to accomplish something, often something new. They project into the world. They are creative in the sense that they cause things and start things.
Aries people will do this energetically and urgently (or impatiently). They cannot wait to do what they have in mind to do and that which is motivated by their enthusiasm.
Cancer people are emotionally assertive. They project emotion in a protective and sensitive way.
Librans do it in a balanced way, considering the viewpoints of others. Because they are people of air, they are more likely to project in a verbal way, compared with Aries who take action on their enthusiasm. Librans will tend to use language to cause others to take the necessary action.
Capricorn projects in a practical, down to earth manner. It takes action based on practical need, and success.

Fixed Signs
The fixed signs are concerned with maintaining something, changing things so they are the same as before, or stabilising things. Fixed and changed appear to be contradictory. Imagine a house. Every day it gets untidy and dirty. In order to keep it in its "normal" state, it must be changed - cleaned, tidied, etc - so it remains the same. A body needs to be regularly fed and watered if it is to maintain its state of being alive. There appears to be no change because there is a lot of change directed to maintain a state, such as a clean house and a living body. Another example is a field. If the field is not maintained (lots of change, like ploughing, setting seed, weeding, etc) then the field will disappear as Nature reclaims it. What is fixed is the clean house, the living body and the field. What is changed is all the things that keep, for example a field, a field and not a wilderness.
Taurus wants to make the products of the self, sometimes material wealth, permanent and fixed. Taurans do not like changes in their wealth. You might think this is true of everyone, however some people do not measure their lives by the wealth they accumulate and these people are far less upset than Taurans when their personal wealth is threatened.
Leo wants to keep its personal power. It wants to be impressive and creative and keep this relationship with others. It makes changes so that it remains in its power state.
Scorpio is fixed in terms of their emotional reactions. It feels more secure when they know what feelings other have. Scorpio makes changes, that is seeks to know the deep emotions that others have which motivate them.
Aquarius wants to keep their beliefs, etc concerning humanity fixed. Aquarians seek to keep their friends. If they are revolutionaries, then they remain revolutionaries.

Mutable Signs
Mutable signs are concerned with changing things into something else. This is not transforming as much as it moving on to something else. The emphasis is on adaptability in the sense that while the fixed signs resist change, the mutable signs accept it. The mutable signs end a cycle and lead on to the beginning of the new quadruplicity.
Gemini is a sign of the air and therefore is concerned with communication, words and the mind. Geminis will adapt themselves to their environment and therefore not cause things to persist. While the fixed signs adapt the environment to their needs, wants and goals, the mutable signs adapt their needs, wants and goals to the environment. If the field grows weeds, they adapt themselves to them. And if the field becomes a wilderness, they adapt themselves to the wilderness. In this way they cease to make the changes necessary to keep things as they are, and allow almost any kind of change. This is true of all the mutable signs. This is not to say that mutable signs never resist change, or that they never try to achieve goals at odds with the envrionment, but it is to say they are more likely to give up or to give in than the fixed signs are.
Virgo is critical and analytical. In this way, Virgo brings to an end something which was previously believed.
Sagittarius is the ninth sign. It is a sign of fire. While it is a seeker of knowledge, its keyphrase is "I know". Sagittarius brings about the end of ignorance by discovering the truth, according to Sagittarius so that it seeks final knowledge (the end of knowledge).
Pisces brings about the end of emotions through dissolving into the oneness of all things.

On Wednesday Nite, I went for a party at Harris and i met my ex collegue there.He knows that i am a tarot reading and asked me to do a reading for him for his luck in the coming year. I said since i have my cards in my brief case, okay.So i did the reading for him..... while i was doing so his manager brought some guests from Switzerland and joined our table. The guests were very very excited when they saw me do readings for my friend and all asked for readings. I asked him whether he was attached, married or have a girl of his dreams. he said he was not attached nor married but have a ger of his dream,,,,,I did the reading and used a Cross relationship spread. the cards which represent him are knight of swords and 3 of swords. the cards whihc represent the ger was the devil and 3 of cups. the outcome was 3 of pentacles.I stated that firstly B was a person who liked freedom and did not want to be tied down but the ger of his dreams want to tie him down. the outcome would be marriage in eventually.
He did not actually know the ger....He only met her once in the car park. He was washing his car in the carpark vacuuming and stuff. alongside his car, the ger parked her car and she got off. B saw the ger and was IN LOVE..... he started talking to the ger and the ger expressed interest in him byhelping him wash his car and he helped her wash her car.....The entire most dumb part was that B forgot to ask for her number and she drove off....So end story rite.....? So B now asked me whether he can meet her again.....I did a yes and no reading the 4 cards i got are as follows. basis is page of wands Yes is chariot No is temperance and the 4 card to add clarity is hermit.My answer to him is if you seek hard enough,.... you will find her.... the step is to trace where to find her car..... The good thing was he had her licence plate number and could trace for her address.....I asked B the next most important thing.... if you were to find her what would you do?B said he would start chatting to her on cars and ask whether he can kiss her.....He said he would take out 50 euros and bet with the ger saying that he could kiss her without her filling it, if she feels it she would get the money......In addition he photo graphed all my readings to keep and said if he was the meet the girl again he will invite me to their wedding in switzerland.We all thought it was kinda lame.... anyways that is the most interesting reading for that nite....

Tarot and fortune telling in comparison to that of practice of medicine.

Tarot and all forms of divination are all methods for guessing the future based on the omens of today. These forms of divination has been passed down through the ages and have records on how they should be used correctly.

However, many people do not trust these guesses in the future as they state that these are without basis and with logic. They lack belief and faith, which is essential upon the use and operation of tools for divination. Moreover they view divination as random without a specific purpose or motive. When the reading or the diviner tells these people their fortunes, due to their lack of faith and concentration in the cards, the result proves to be false.

Yet an equal number of people can attest to the correctness of these methods to divine into the future. Being a Tarot reader, I would use tarot as and example. Tarot is an art of fortune telling. It is the most powerful tool in the Western tradition in which fortunes are told. There are several stories on the origin of Tarot. Some say it is an art, which has existed since the time of the pyramids. Some say that it is an art of gypsies
However, the first traces of the cards are form in the 14th century in the form of the Visconti-Sforza deck. The fact is it contains many icons and images which Psychiatrist, Sigmund Freud and management Guru, Carl Jung has mentioned in their books.
The reason why these people can use and believe in Tarot is the fact that tarot is a recorded system. The meanings of the 78 cards, the system of the spreads and the kabbalah have existed for ages. Individuals add their own meaning to the cards and come up with decks in their own images. These individuals have experiences with readings and through the records of these readings they develop their meanings and understanding of how better to divine the future. For instance, the 3 of swords upright in a reading concerning relationships is often referred to the card of sorrow and most tarot readers will in the same way. This method of recording readings and divination is similar to the methods of a doctor treating a patient.

Through the ages, the use of medicine developed from an art, which is random to an science with logic and system. How was this possible? In ancient times, healers and doctors did not really record the methods of how an illness is developed, what are the symptoms and how is it treated. These healers and doctors practiced through word of mouth and much knowledge is lost. It was only during the times of the greeks, the time whereby writing is developed that cases of illness are recorded, the types of medication used. As these information is useful to the society, a lot of effort and money has been placed in the preservation of these records and so the medicine became more and more accepted as a science. Yet medicine is also unpredictable. The most common of diseases could still kill if the patient, who is taking the medication, lacks the belief in that it will cure him of illness. New diseases and uncertainties are constantly developed. Hence there is research and development of new medications and treatments.

In view of motives, Divination and medicine are similar. One can aid the person in the curing of subconscious anxiety whereas the other cures the person physically. Both have established systems, which could be recorded and developed. Both can have repeatability in results. However, divination is not seen in positive light as there are many in the field who does it out of selfish and self fulfilling reasons. Moreover, these individuals tend to bend the readings or deceive the clients in order to achieve gains in their favor instead of the actual act of helping others. It is my sincere hope that in the future there are organizations which could develop the arts of divination in the positive manner. That is the reason for me to teach others Tarot and make them aware of the positive manner to use this art to act as a medicine to heal and not to deceive.
