DISCUSSIONS AMONG READERS.

It was a pity that i did not bring my camera.
Present at Sanctum.
1) Ambika
2) Rowen
3) Wen
4) Patrick
5) Ash
6) Angel
7) Caroline
8) William
9) Jason
10) Larry
11) Noel (ryuza)
It was a night of sharing and discussion on questions and styles.
The question: should i leave my job.?
3 of sword is the present situation.
4 of cups is the hope of the querant
3 of cups is to leave and outcome.
Devil is to stay
5 of cups is final outcome and advice.
Ash stated in the discussion that she did not like to do yes or no spreads as it limits the creativity and the scope of the answer.
However from this spread, she gave the following comments.
The querant does want to leave and she feels miserable at her current job. However as there are many external factors she cannot leave her job and that the factors in the office as due to internal emotional issues and that she could not get along with her collegues.
Ambika
Said very much similar ideas. however she emphasis on the last card the 5 of cups which is to review the matters within and to see if they can be solved. She stated that the querant is very much causing the hurt and misery internally and things may not be that bad.
Jason's statement
The querant is very much upset at work and wants to leave. he pointed out that it is not a money issue but more on emotions as there is a lack of pentacles. he also pointed out that the 3 of swords is that her emotions have clouded her judgement. He also points out that the devil and the 3 of cups are sensual cards which have a factor to the whime of the querant and it is something personal.
The final conclusion
She should stay and work out the problems.

TWIN STARS SPREAD OR DUAL PENTACLE SPREAD.
Last year, during a BBQ at my place of power in Changi Village, my disciple, Sky came up with a spread. At that point in time he did not have any idea of what he had come up with. It was a spread with an upright five pointed star and an inverted pentagram.
His explaination of the upright pentagram are matters which are within your control. (order)
Moving on to the spread proper.

The entire spread comprises of 11 cards.
5 cards for the upright pentagram and 5 for the inverted one.
The card in the middle is the bridge or the matter which will affect order or chaos.
It could be the comic balance or the scales.
The lay of the cards are as follows.
1) Past of how you feel about the matter. 3 of swords. (order upright pentagram.)
2) Past of how others feel about the matter. 3 of cups (chaos inverted pentagram)
3) Present of how you feel about the matter Ace of cups (order upright pentagram.)
4) Present of how others feel about the matter 8 of pentacles (chaos inverted pentagram)
5) How you are feeling about the matter in the near future 5 of wands
6) How othres are feeling about the matter in the near ace of swords
7) Your feeling on how you are with regards to the matter Hanged man
8) others feeling on how they are with regards to the matter emperor
9) Final outcome and advice 6 of wands (for you)
10) final outcome and advice the fool (for others)
11) This is the bridge and how to come to gether in the spread (the hermit.)
I hope you will find this spread useful.

LOVE AND RELATIONSHIP SPREADS AND USING TAROT.
Only love can make people do lots of things. it is one of the greatest motivation in the world.
Recently, I have fallen in love with a particular lady and in our relationship with each other i discovered new ways to use the tarot which i did not really used in the past.
The spread above was done for a client of mine.
However, in this particular instance, the client was not in front of me and i did a teleconversation reading for this person.
I had the astrology of the client as well as the client's lover. and was able to have a good feel prior to commencement of this reading. If i did not have their astrology, it would not be possible for me to proceed.
This is an edited version for clarity. Firstly the cards on the left is for the lady. the cards on the right is for the guy.
the emperor and the king of cups refers to what has happened in the past
the death and 9 of wands are the present.
the page of cups and hierophant refers to how they feel about each other.
the 7 of wands and the queen of wands refer to how others feel about the relationship.
the magician and the hanged man refers to the final outcome or also refers to the advice they should take.
This is a cross spread example.
I did this spread with my lover and it uses 2 decks and was done by both my lover and i.
The cards on the right are from my lover and the cards on the left are mine.
There is one similar card in the entire spread which is the page of wands which means we both like adventures.

RECENT DOINGS AND SOME TAROT TIPS.

I have used quite often the Golden dawn 15 card spread lately. It has proven to me as one of the more dynamic decks in which i could use.
Hence i requested a reading done on how to improve my skills. The reader was the one using the Osho Zen tarot. I have used the Rider Waite as the above spread of used for people to understand.
In the Osho zen tarot the ace of wands means source of power, which he defines that i have a lot of passion for the art and power to proceed.
In addition, the 8 of cups means i need to look for new relationships to develop my tarot or seek within for answers.

THE GOLDEN DAWN SPREAD OR THE GYPSY SPREAD
The numbering of the cards describes a spiral starting from the centre and progressing anti-clockwise.
The cards are grouped together in threes:
These cards show potential future events and influences. They show what direction the querent's life will naturally take, unless alternate steps are employed to change the course of events
These cards represent an alternative course of action that the querent may choose to take
These cars lead to the questions.
These cards show forces at work that are beyond the querent's control — destiny or karma

Spontenous Tarot..... INTUITIVE.....?
"LEARNING IS A NEVER ENDING PROCESS..... You never know who may be your next teacher?"
I met a client on Saturday afternoon. She mentioned that my method of tarot reading of using 1 spread per answer per question is very slow and not very spontenous..... and each one answer will take very long to answer.....
She mentioned that she had a tarot reading done by a friend a long time ago and it was very different.
The friend would do a past, present and future 3 card spread for the first question. and as she progressed with more questions, the friend would progress the spread and the questions.....
As i have never done tarot in the manner in which she has stated and i did not feel it was to the best interest of the client. i never tried the mentioned method for her at that point in time.
My reasoning is that each question requires the use of all 78 cards and each answer will have the full spectrum of changes and cards in it.
However, since we are all tarot readers and various readers have their own methods of reading, i will touch on what my client meant and how to carry out a reading based on her method.

Firstly, the client will begin shuffling her deck concentrating on the question. lets take the instance as she wants to know whether "jeff" is the right person for her.
When she feels that it is right, take the deck from her and do a 3 card yes and no spread. the card in the centre Hierophant is the basis of the question, the ace of cups is yes and the king of pentacle is no....
Lets go into details... she is thinking of a permanent relationship with jeff by the hierophant....perhaps marriage.....
Yes is ace of cups meaning.... yes it may be a good start in the relationship....
No is king of pentacle.... perhaps career wise Jeff is stable and spend less time with her or Jeff is not putting effort in the relationship.
Then the development of the next question..... How will the relationship turn out if they were to continue based on the Yes assumption and the no assumption....?
She will take the cards and shuffle and continue....
If futher questions arises.... the spread becomes bigger... till all 78 cards are laid.
Just another method of how tarot is done.

EXAMPLE SPREAD AND READING ON LOVE AND RELATIONSHIP.
The question: "Will i meet another good relationship?"
Technically, i should not interpret the spread for her. Based on the following reasons.
1) I have not met her in person and have no intuitive grasp of the person.
2) I am not doing the spread and the attributions of the spread may not be the same as what i normally do.
3) She is using reversals in her spread which i do not use.
The cards which she used is the rider Waite. For my personal preference, i am illustrating the spread and cards using the X-Clamp 1999.
The following interpretion is based on my understanding.

CURRENT SITUATION: 9 OF SWORDS
Worry of the current situation.
Not happy. not understanding the situation.
Pessimistic.
Lonely
Barrier: 4 OF CUPSFrom the looks of things, she seems to be afraid to look for another, to open up herself. Some chances or people around her may be suitable. She does not see nor count her current blessings.....
Afraid is she to open up.
What leads to the question. : 3 OF SWORDS.Sorrow, pain and heart break. Lost love and failure in relationships in the past.
What she hopes for : 3 OF PENTACLESAppreciation for efforts put into relationship. Appreciation for who she really is.

Immediate Past: The World (reversed)
Dreams are dashed. What once was possible becomes impossible. Dreams of fulfillment are no longer the same.
Immediate future: KING OF PENTACLES
1) She may meet a person of taurus nature. 2) Or she is keeping to herself very much and not sharing her emotions. scared about sharing. 3) she is very career minded at the moment and not suited to change.
HOW THE FUTURE WILL TURN TO BE :- (EMPEROR REVERSED.)
She would not be able to meet someone she expects.
1) the expected person may be unexpected. tides in with 4 of cups.
How others see her:- 3 of wands
She is seen as a person who is quite ready but awaiting for relationship to befall on her. passive.
How she views herself:- Temperance
She views herself as someone trying to put actions to words or to achieve her dreams.
Final outcome: - page of swords.
In studies or in the pursue of education will she meet one. In addition, this person maybe an aquarius. 3) she should look around.
=============================
Last point to note: there is 3 minor cards of 3. Which is a good sign. Means she is ready for love. Yet there is very little or no 3 of cups. Means perhaps at the present based on her mind set..... she is not ready for relationship? she need to reflect on herself and to check.

WAVE SPREAD GENERAL CREATED BY APOCALYPTIC AND ROWEN
I was to do only Tarot card readings and wanted to come up with a general spread for use for function. Normally i would use the General 12 card or 16 card spread which looks like a square. which is featured below. It looks boring.
I discussed with Wen and came up with the following spread which i call the wave spread.
Cards 1-3 on the left side represents the self. card 1 is past, card 2 is present and card 3 is future / advice.
Cards 4-6 on the right side represent the emotions card 4 is past card 5 is present and card 6 is future or advice.
Cards 7-9 on the left side represents the education or legal matters or disputes. card 7 is past card 8 is present and card 9 is future or advice.
Cards 10-12 on the right side represents the career or wealth. card 10 is past card 11 is present and card 12 is future or advice.
As you can see it corresponds with my 12 card spread in attribution and in meanings. the final card is the 13th card which is the overall feel of the spread.
Actually after a careful look, the spread resembles the transformational world of the Kaballah.
Look at the above diagram. See how cards 1-3 representing fire corresponding to the fifth sefirot 5 Geburah which also represents the plane of fire.
Cards 4-6 represents the fourth sefirot 4 Chesed which represents water.
Cards 7-9 represents the seventh sefirot 7 Netsach which is air.
cards 10-12 represents the eighth sefirot 8 Hod which is earth.
Card 13 is the middle pillar or sixth sefirot 6 Tifereth which is the middle pillar.

CAREER SPREAD OF 8 CARDS. GENERAL
Recently, several clients and friend have requested for me to tell them which career would suit them better or which is the best career path for them.
Normally, i would use Astrology and tell them based on their midheaven point in the astrology. In addition to this i will analyse their characters and destiny paths plus using the chinese 4 pillars of destiny.八字. This method is the most accurate, but very very time consuming which most clients being impatient and want a one shot answer would not want.
Hence i came up with a quick fix spread. 8 card career spread.
Cards 1 to 4 represents 4 different suit and 4 career paths.
1) wands: creative, leadership, manager type position, pioneers.
2) cups: human relations, COUNSELING, healing, mothering, writing poems, music, sales.
3) swords: teaching, communications, intellectual, planning, administration. Legal. marketing,
4) Pentacles: banking, financial, accounting. property. building, production.
Cards 5-7 refers to a person's ability or the reasons why he is suited for the work.
Card 8 is advice and how to achieve your career.
In this example. the best card for the career choice is either card 1 or card 2.
Which is the emperor and the star. So this person is suited to be a manager.
As for the reason why he is suited to be a leader is that he is practical 8 of pentacles, solves problems Ace of swords, stable and fixed leader King of pentacles.
How to achieve this, is to venture and wait. 3 of wands.
