Ksitigarbha Sutra and divination method .

Kṣitigarbha bodhisattva has a sutra which is known as the sutra of karmic bonds and karmic report book of good and evil deeds of man. The method has 3 set of dice. One set to tell a person about his Karma, his good deeds and bad deeds and another set to do pure divination. the Divination answers are in the sutra itself.

It is one method in which a person can learn about past lives and also about what one has to do for sickness and health.

Aura-soma and tarot. The connection is pretty good. the cards of the Aura-soma deck is very pretty and vibrant and reflects that of the bottles.

The Bottles which are close to me is B12, the hanged man bottle and the need to look for inner peace.

This bottle shows that i need more creativity in my life....... and the picture is the standard rider waite.

The next bottle which i found is the B1 bottle of the magician. It is the bottle of physical rescue and also to aid in injuries.
Recently i am more tired due to my baby waking up at odd hours....

It is the initiation bottle.

One key element or ingredient in the bottles which has blue is lavender which helps with sleep.

CIro Marchetti's new deck. Gilded Reverie Deck

It has been some time since i last purchased a deck. and the most recent purchase which i have is Ciro's Gilded Reverie Deck
http://www.ciromarchetti.com/Lenormand.html

The lenormand system is different from tarot and could consist of between 36 to 40 cards.

For Ciro's deck there is a total of 40 cards which includes cards like Dice, Bridge, Masks

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/26087493/Gilded%20Reverie%20Lenormand.pdf

The deck done by ciro is very pretty. and he gave a quote in the pouch given with each deck.

On mine it is " Through your voice the cards can speak."
The card which i have which differs from the book is the ring card. Mine is a green stone whereas in the ciro's book it is a red stone of ruby.  Perhaps mine is an emerald like that of green lantern... May my will be done....

Reflections and tarot. 2011.

Recent passions and other tasks have kept me from updating this Blog.

Being a father places one in the mood of responsibility and taking care of someone else.

It changed my perspective of life and also brought forth passions of taking photos and seeing the world in a different light.
It is a transformational phase for me. Like a judgement. Relationship with my father and mother improved significantly. Appreciation of certain toys which i played with as a child was shown in the face of my baby.
New life and a fool's journey begins for me again....? this time as a father. It is a rediscovery of life and the circle of life which binds us to our roots.....

Elections in Singapore and the study of symbols.

Since 1959, the People actions party has been in power. It is a strong and powerful party. 42 years in total.

Election is in fever now. so i would talk about the various party symbols and their logos. These are my personal opinion and it does not imply my political stand point.

We start with the Worker's party's symbol and colors. The worker's party has the predominate symbol of the hammer. The hammer is a symbol of power. It is used by a worker in many ways to hammer in nails, to test the solidity of a object and to help in the flattening of a object (used in plates or decoration.) It is to affliate with the common people. It is also used in a courtroom by the judge to draw attention. It is used by a auction dealer to close a deal. Hence it is a common item.

In Norse Myths, the hammer is used by thor.... "Now in cinemas!" and it is used to bring down giants (could be the ruling class), to defend the weak and to bring lightning and thunder.

If they want to bring change the hammer is a good symbol.

The weakness of this symbol is their choice of colors.

They used the colors of red and yellow. these 2 colors go well together, however it is a self clashing color. Red represents fire and yellow represents metal. In fengshui or in chinese myths, this would be their downfall. Within the party it may seem to have many in fighting or many wars and weaken the strenght of the party. Only if a person of charisma and diplomacy or person of water element would be able to control it.

The reform party's symbol and NSP has similar characteristics. They have used that of a Sun. The sun is a symbol of power and of great strenght. However the reform party sun is overshadowed by the words of reform. as part of it and could not break forth its power. the sun of the NSP is better in that sense. the color choices are red which fuels, good in the sense of the NSP but the conflict of yellow and blue in the reform party symbol draws away the purpose and the word reform. It highlights and brings to mind the idea whether the party is true to their intentions. it is not focused and diluted.

In the study of symbols, i feel strongly that the PAP symbol is really very powerful. the person who designed it is a genius. The symbol of lightning in a S which resembles the Rune SUWOLO that of change and the sun serves the party well. the lightning means fast in action. it cannot be seen and can strike anywhere. the breaking of the circle refers to the moving away of an era, Which was the colonial era. However, if you see it, it is a cause of discord, not within the party but without. Hence if a symbol in an opposition party has a circle, it may not suceed as the lightning would strike upon them and cause massive damage. Harming the conherency of the party.

The above are my observations on the symbols of some of the political party in singapore.

Please do not be offended, if your views differ from mine.

Money / debts and life

"Money is the root to all evil." the saying goes.

In modern society, the modern man is so far removed from the sources of our sustenances, Food, water, electricity.

We want a burger, we go to Mac donalds. But we do not see the source of it. We know that beef comes from cow, bread comes from wheat or flour and vegetables are grown.

Water is from our taps and electricity is from the power plants.

We use money to exchange for all this.

It becomes our necessity. It is also a form of control by the banks and the authority which issues them. Pause for a moment, if the country which issues the currency is not recognised in another country, it is worthless paper.

If the sources of food and sustances becomes too expensive for the common man to afford. Theft and famine and war will arise. Take for example during the great depression. there was a mad rush for food and water.. No matter how much cash you have you could not buy anything,
Now brings me to Fehu. This is the rune of cattle. It is the rune of money. Like money. it needs to flow among people as a form of exchange and understanding. It is a symbol of wealth. It is rune of stability in income and of increase. With this there is increase and potential of earning as money flows. It is a glad rune and good to all.
Yet like money it is the form of envy. Too much cattle in one's farm will lead to theft. Too much wealth showing will lead to quarrels. Fire in the wild it is named at times uncontroled it could lead to many disasters.

Judging others and also of oneself

Judging Others

"Don't judge, so that you won't be judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye? Or how will you tell your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye;' and behold, the beam is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye. "Don't give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
Matthew 7:1-6 Full Chapter

=============================

Although i am not a christian, this verse holds much meaning to my heart.

Many a times we have our principles and we tend to see others in different light. By their actions, by their thoughts. Is this person handsome, ugly, pretty, fat by appearances.? Is his actions good or bad? is he corrupt or oppressive?

"Do not judge me." once a client told me and ask of me. She was a lady who was secretly meeting another guy behind the back of her husband.

The feeling of betrayal is very strong and being once betrayed by my ex girl friend it did stir up feelings of judgement in me that the lady client was not a good lady.

However, i supressed my personal judgement and told her that what i speak is what the cards show me. I do not judge when i meet my clients. It is also to see them in different light and in their own circumstances....

Normally when one turns to fortune telling or the tarot, one is quite despaired and needs help.

I do not judge but advise them what the cards says. it is the most important rule of Tarot reading. not to judge while doing the reading.....

I hope all tarot readers will be able to do this....

MISGUIDED WISDOM AND DISILLUSIONS OF POWERS.

I read lisa preschel's a practical guide to the runes. In it, she writes that fortune telling to your clients or friends. you must be very responsible and weigh your words, but say the truth.

Recently the case of the medium suicide pact thing.

SINGAPORE: The teenage Taoist medium who organised a suicide pact had been upset over his parents' divorce. The coroner's court heard this as the brother and friends of 16-year-old medium Ku Witaya took the stand in court on Tuesday. Witaya had convinced seven other teenagers to take part in the suicide pact last year. Witaya and Sia Chan Hong fell nine storeys to their death, while the others backed out at the last minute.

and the misuse of tarot cards in tricking people.
Hector Ayala, 59, tricked her into having sex with him by convincing her that it would get rid of any bad luck and help her wishes come true, according to The Daily News.

====================================================

My own personal experience was that as follows.
Among my friends, i am esteemed due to my art.
However, i spoke out of turn when i was intoxicated about the reliability of a person to another friend. Hence I forgot that even on social occassions, my words carry weight and responsibilities.

Although the misunderstanding cleared up, our friendship was hurt by the incident.

Hence like spiderman said. "With great power comes great responsibility."

I have a gift and a skill, i need to use it responsibly to all.

JOHN STEWART JACKSON SCULPTURES

Last Saturday, I met John Stewart Jackson at the spirit circle in Sanctum.

He is an amazing artist. the following is one of the works which he did which i like.

Just guess wat is the media which he used to create his sculpture?
1) plastic
2) clay
3) wood
4) metal.....

It is metal.... I have never imagined that metal could be worked to have this coloring and sheen without actual painting. I really like his work.
His website: http://www.johnstewartjackson.com/

Students and learning. RUNES VIKINGS

Recently, i have been teaching students as my course at Sanctum started.

In addition, Khemery from Sabah came over to learn tarot from me. I taught her everything i knew in 5 hours condensed workshop. It was because she had 5 years of prior experience with Tarot and angel cards. She was a very fast learner and she made a present of a citrine bracelet as a form of energy exchange. (this made me interested in the study of crystals which i lack)

I took her around singapore from Sanctum in Haji lane to Ion in orchard.
We took photos on Aura and mine was all blue and green and a bit dim perhaps due to the lesson which i gave to her.
We went to Kinokuniya and i saw some runes. I decided to buy the runes for study as Khemery inspired me to learn more skills to augment my tarot as i found that not all people are so acceptable of the hard truth given by the tarot.

A brief write up on the runes.

There are several historical runic inscriptions, found on everything from swords to stones to bronze pendants, which list the entire runic alphabet in order. One of the oldest and most complete of these is the Kylver stone, found in Gotland, Sweden and dating from the fifth century c.e. Others are less complete, but show a remarkable continuity in the order in which the runes are listed. The only surviving written accounts of the actual names and meanings of the runes, however, were not recorded until the advent of the Christian era. Some of these manuscripts, which date from the 9th. century until well into 12th, are known as rune poems. These poems have a verse for each rune, each of which begins with the rune itself and its name. Some of these poems are more Pagan than others, particularly those from Iceland, where Christianity was not yet as widespread as it was in the Anglo-Saxon regions.
The rune names themselves appear to have been passed down relatively intact, and although no manuscript exists listing the names of the older, Germanic runes, the Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian rune poems agree to such an extent that their common origin can be deduced. These names are probably our best clue as to what the individual runes actually meant to the people that used them.

Hope to master them soon.

Magician and seeking the tools of power.

Recently I was requested to dress as a magician for a tarot card reading event.

I had a costume made consisting of a headband, a red outer robe, a white inner robe and a red rope sash.

Once the costume is ready i will take a picture.

I gathered the 4 items of power." which are all gifts from persons." Same as the tarot story of the wheel of fortune.

My sword is a folded sword.... in which it is hollow in the centre filled with void or air....
A gift from my father, who instructed me knowledge in youth. Sword of reason and logic....
My pentacle, a piece made by a friend a circle of Bronze. He was a person whom i do some work for in the past. a working relationship person.

Made of Bronze.... it is a sign of work done and friendship made. a promise kept by a friend at work

My cup a gift of a friend whose wedding i attended. A gift from an event of love?

It is the representations of emotions. as a gift of a union of love. this is most suitable for my use.

The wand was a piece of wood in which my aunt gave to me... the story of this staff is that she was doing gardening and she wanted it to be a support for the money plant. However, she gave it to me when i was injuried in my toe when i was young to walk with. it is Sanded down by her.....
The wands represents the fire of inspiration. A gift from my Aunt whom gave me the inspiration to do tarot.....

1st rule of Magick. it is not the form which is important but the will and the method in which the tools are obtained which is....
Hence with these tools, perhaps my tarot meditation will improve.

MIDNIGHT NATION AND REFLECTIONS.

Recently, a friend of mine lent me read the book Midnight nation.

=================================================

The Synophsis is as follows.

Los Angeles police officer Lieutenant David Grey encounters a brutal murder. When he tracks down a possible lead he encounters strange, goblin-like men who attack him. When he awakes, Grey finds himself in a hospital, and those around him have become translucent and can no longer see him.
It is explained to him by his mysterious guide Laurel that he has lost his soul and he has now been plunged into a shadow world that runs parallel to our own. Here is where all the abandoned and forgotten people and things go.
David is told that without his soul he will slowly become like "the Walkers", the monstrous people he encountered who attacked him. David must travel on foot to New York where "The Other Guy" holds his soul. Laurel has led many others in David's position before but none have ever made it.
Along the way David encounters various tests, such as fighting these Walkers, meeting his future self, slowly losing his mind and his sense of self, and finally falling in love with Laurel, who is not in fact human. He also saves his ex-wife (who had walked out on him years earlier due to his unwavering dedication to his job as a police officer) from the Walkers. This had already caused him to lose hope even before his soul was stolen, and it wasn't until he met Laurel that he felt a reason to live once again. He also encounters an enigmatic old man who seems immune to the Walkers attacks and has no fear of them, and is able to drive them away in terror. It is later revealed that he is Lazarus, and has been waiting since Jesus told him to do so for him to return. He is currently watched over by an angel wielding a flaming sword.
When David finally reaches New York, the Other Guy begins to lecture him on things such as life, hope, God, and humanity. He tells him that hope is a lie and that he intends to increase misery around the world until all of humanity becomes like the abandoned and forgotten people he met on his trip through the parallel world. When that it is done, he can recreate the world as he sees fit. He then forces David to feel all the suffering humanity has felt over its existence, which causes him to go crazy and run through the streets as one of his Walkers.
Meanwhile, Laurel has surrendered herself to the Other Guy like she always does: it is in the rules, written by God Himself, that she must follow. He asks her to rebel against God as he did, but she refuses, never giving up hope. As David runs through the streets of New York, he sees a mannequin that resembles Laurel in a shop window. He remembers his humanity and his love for Laurel and returns to Satan's lair where he finds Laurel being nailed to a circular wooden board.
The Other Guy tells him that Laurel was lying to him about his soul. Only if he takes it will he become one of the Walkers; if he doesn't, he'll cease to belong to either world. Satan also informs him that if he gives his soul to Laurel, she will cease to be an agent of God (for that is what she truly is) and be freed from her endless cycle of guiding humans to regain their souls, being reborn as a human. If he gives his soul to her, he'll prove hope exists to all those who have fallen into the nether-realm. Out of his love for Laurel and his own tireless dedication to the forces of good, David does the unthinkable and sacrifices his soul to Laurel.
Years later, David has moved on with his life, becoming a source of hope for those who have fallen through the cracks in society.
================================================
In reading this book, it gave me a lot of insight to my current life and the 1 and a half years in which has passed since i last fell out with my ex girl friend.
For the period in which i had loved her, i was in full concentration in earning enough money for a house and a home and to marry her and set up a good family. I neglected everything else in life. My Hope and aim was only her.
However, she failed me and i lost much hope.
At the period, i was feeling like david, being in the crack and having little or no hope to life......... However, perhaps tarot and friends and guides around me slowly gave purpose to what once was different and the path for me changed.
Through meeting various people in the course of tarot and in my practice. I believed i have helped many others and gave hope to them. Perhaps that is how destiny is.... if not i would not have met the girl whom i am with now.?
Destiny has a funny thing played upon us all. Even for one whom knows the tarot much, love could influence one to make a decision in which is against that of what the cards shows......
From the omens of present, the tarot show what the future may hold..... but it is never ever cast in stone.

TAROT CAFE.....

Bassed on the best-selling Korean manhwa series, The Tarot Café novel covers stories that happened at the same time as the events in the manga, but featuring different characters.
Pamela is a tarot card readers who helps supernatural beings living in the human world. She'll help anyone, whether they're a lovesick cat, a vampire seeking eternal life who's running from his true love, or a waitress looking for a man to share her life.

==============================================

Some time during a break from work. i talked to Wen and Sky about the setting up of a cafe which has the theme on tarot cards, astrology and stuff.....

Last night, I spent much time revealing my ideas to yet another lady. Hmmm she encourage me to "JUST DO IT!!!" hmm thinking and wanting to try it out for some time.

====Maybe i would sell the idea to people? But i really want such a thing to do....

========================================

This remains only in my head and dreams..... will it come true.? Do i really want to do this as a full time stuff?
